Vanessa Colyer Tay - Stylist

One of my favourite Stylists is featured on the Temple & Webster blog today.

Vanessa Colyer Tay - Photo by Sam McAdam

Vanessa Colyer Tay is Style Director at Inside Out and super mum to one gorgeous little girl!
I adore her work, she seems to look at things from a different angel and the images she puts together are so original and gorgeous! Most of all I love the way she uses colour!

I was lucky enough to be commissioned by Vanessa to make a Paper Cake and Cake Slices for the latest issue of Inside Out and I was so delighted to see pops of turquoise and green and orange through what (in the hands of someone else less fabulous) could have been a very standard pretty and girlie display of cake stands.............instead it was modern, fun, on trend and still very feminine!

I cant wait to work with her again in the future!

The Flower Drum is FULL of AWESOMENESS!

I had the pleasure of visiting my flower friend Holly Hipwell on the weekend.
She is fast becoming one of my favourite quirky people!

This is Holly -  "Unashamedly bossy, confident and just a little bit cross, she combines her words with a little girl voice and humour to soften the blow (she tells us that she has recently had to take “charm” classes to avoid offending potential clients)"
Character reference from "Not Quite Nigella
"

The Flower Drum, (for all of you who have been hiding in a land of no flowers) is Sydney's bestest young floral enthusiast and flower bomber. Holly has been teaching Flower Bombing to sydney siders at Megan Morton's The School and is now expanding her empire into Melbourne and beyond!

When we chatted on the weekend I was let into some secret secrets and now I've seen what she did on the weekend I am very excited to see the finished product in the future!!!

I'm pretty sure either one of both of these creations are destine to be the must have fashion for summer! Floral Cape anyone?

Have a look at Holly's Blog or Facebook page for more amazing floral escapades, and I highly recommend visiting her shop at the Sugarmill on saturday's and buying all her pretty flowers up!

Our Wedding on Style Me Pretty

Our Wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty this week! Such an honour!
I loved this website and practically had it as my homepage when I was planning our wedding!

Thank you so much for your kind words Style Me Pretty!!
I'm not sure that anything I've created has been called "Oh So Cool" before!

Little Circus Design

Don't you just love these Folk Art style Australiana Illustrations!!!!
This speaks volumes to me about the Australian Identity and Culture

Little Circus Design combines Madeleine Stamer's freelance illustration, limited edition prints, collaboration work, art pieces and all the good bits squeezed in between.
Part tomboy with a sprinkling of girlyness Madeleine struggled to enjoy school. However, she did relish day-dreaming, sculpting playdoh, climbing trees, collecting organic specimens, drawing birds, talking to animals, collecting swap cards, aspiring to draw like Dick Bruna and watching classic Ray Harryhausen movies.

Madeleine is dead keen on all things Mexicana. She loves tempting objects that are nice to touch, birds, loose feathers, natural history, skeletons, old school tattoos, traditional folk art, 70's design and kaleidoscope colours. Madeleine splits her time as a visual arts teacher as well as devoting herself to illustrating, exhibiting, blogging and working on various little circus projects and collaborations.
