How Green does your Garden Grow

I love my garden.
Im so proud of all the lush greenness on my balcony that i try to revel in it every morning with my coffee (plus enjoy the AMAZING ocean view).
Just beacuse im living in an apartment does not mean that i cant be a green thumb, do my bit for the environment and grow my own vegies.
Plus it looks so pretty!

Made For Mum

Made these for my mum.
It was her birthday yesterday and im totally broke ........
but the best gifts are always handmade and heartfelt ones anyway.

• A few appliqued handmade teatowels from vintage and thrifted cottons
• A little pillow made from Vietnamese silk mum bought me and my very first finished Sashiko project
• A vintage hankerchief embroidered specially for mum
• A lavender filled heart embroidered with a lavender

Thrifted, Bought, Borrowed and Made

Thrifted - An Awesome granny dress, perfect for spring and summer - A very cute collar looking for a home - A gorgeous piece of cross stitched cotton.

Bought - A fingertip control Craft Knife

Borrowed - Some great craft books from the library, one on embroidery for a special project im working on

Made - Well.....making.....A present for my Mum. Some sashiko embroidery in the works for a pillow, a smelly heart with the lovley lavender i brought back from the farm and a vintage hankie embroidered too.

My Creative Space

My Creative Space is so comfy and cosy this week, im so happy to be back home after our little trip away that i can barely drag myself away to do some money earning work...........i'll get there soon....ish.

In my space this week:

• Croissants and Tea (in my lovley birthday mug)
• Pouring over the INCREDIBLE thank you letter i recieved in the mailfrom my lovely friend Meredith (shes an artist and this letter is truly an artwork itself)
• Crocheting away at the little stripes and granny sqaures blanket i started on holiday.
• Drying out some beautiful lavender from the farm (to make smelly sachets)
• Colouring some little drawings i did of the farm

A Week of Wandering

This is where i have been all week. I didnt wander too far, just 4 or so hours directly west to a beautiful little farm where a wonderful lady was recuperating after surgery (She is doing brilliantly!)

We had a very realxed time, watching DVDs, curling up in the sun with blankets and hot and cold drinks and i did a little crochet too.
Im glad to be home though, seems like we came home just in time for the start of spring and home has never looked better.

Going Postal

Your packages are on thier way! Keep your eyes out for the postman. I hope they arrive to you with the pretty wrapping in place but i cant promise it.

My New Best Friend

My FABULOUS birthday present finally arrived a few days ago.

Now i have fresh Barista style coffee EVERY day without ever having to leave the flat!
